Train from Lisbon to Sintra
Take the frequent commuter train from Lisbon Rossio or Oriente station to Sintra. The journey takes approximately 40-45 minutes. Arrive at Sintra station early to beat the crowds.
Transfer to Pena Palace
Take a taxi or the official shuttle bus (Carris de Sintra) from Sintra station to Pena Palace. Walking is a steep 45-60 minute uphill hike; a taxi is recommended for efficiency.
Pena Palace
Explore the colorful Romanticist palace atop the Sintra hills. Visit the interior rooms and enjoy the panoramic views from the terraces. Pre-booked timed entry tickets are essential.
Moorish Castle

Return to Lisbon
Walk to Sintra train station and take the train back to Lisbon for the evening.
